Who I am:

I'm Ian Frederick (ianfrederick.com), a self-taught 3D Motion Designer. I love to create high quality cinematic surrealism, things that defy physics, and abstract effects for brands, concerts, title sequences and products. I walk the fine line between motion design and VFX.

What I Will Be Teaching:

I will be creating beginner - intermediate friendly tutorials in Houdini and redshift showing you all of my tips, tricks and workflows as well as breaking down every single shot from all of my favorite self-produced videos to explain exactly how I made everything. I have a wide skillset and so I will be showing you everything from modeling, simulation, lighting, animation, compositing and texturing, as well as sharing more conceptual insights into my process of creation. I use a lot of MOPS+ (a great, mostly free plug-in for Houdini that you can find here: )
