Simply Maya - Haunted House Texturing
When our model is complete we move on to texturing it by laying out
clean, flat UV maps in the UV Texture editor where we cut, scale, move
and sew together UV's. Once the UV maps have been created they're
exported to Photoshop where you'll see how to go about painting the
different textures to apply to your model. Back in Maya we add spec- and
bump maps to our color maps for a more credible look.
The tutorial finishes off with showing you how to create the ground
plane and background using ramp shaders and adding clouds to the scene.
We set up some lights of different types and add volume lights to get
the ghost-like effect. You'll also learn some very useful tricks to
create nice looking ground fog in Maya.
