The Remove Tool in Photoshop is a powerful AI-powered tool that allows you to remove unwanted objects, people, wires, and other distracting elements from an image while automatically filling the empty space with realistic content.

The tool icon is a bandage with two stars in the upper-left corner. By default, it is grouped with the Spot Healing Brush Tool in the toolbar. To select it, click and hold the Spot Healing Brush icon, then choose Remove Tool from the dropdown menu.

The Adobe Photoshop Remove Tool AI package contains the AI model for the Remove Tool, which enables local processing of edits directly on your device.

To use on-device processing, set the Mode option to Device in the tool’s Options bar. The first time you use on-device processing, the process may take longer. If your system does not meet the requirements, the Device option will be unavailable.
