Piranesi 5.0
Don't use underscores as spaces, it says... that looks retarded, it says... it?never had to admin an enterprise linux framework (Let's not bother mentioning certain other well-known platforms). It?has a problem indexing torrents properly when underscores are substituted for spaces... well, that just sucks... for it.?Index_this.
I greatly appreciate the work you guys do -- those of you who krak, those of you who hunt and repost for we of this forum, and esp. those of you who make this all happen, the least appreciated, most critical task in the new technological paradigm.
So here's a gem I take no credit for, but for which I cannot credit another: Piranesi_5.0.
Piranesi is a standalone application which allows the user to interactively paint/illustrate over 3D files in order to create 2D images which appear to be hand-drawn or painted in a variety of media (pen, charcoal, oils, watercolor, etc.). It acheives the same general effect as rendering an image from a 3D file and then applying Photoshop filters, the difference being that it can work with the 3D file directly, and that it is much more powerful than Photoshop, having been designed specifically for its one purpose. The program's learning curve is steep, and the interface is not very intuitive, so I will attempt to find a manual for it to upload and post a reply to help you find it. The program Vedute is also included -- I have not used it, but it seems Vedute allows you to work with the original 3D file in some ways and save it to the propriety EPix file format that Piranesi uses. Plugins are available for a few common 3D modelling applications, such as Sketchup and 3DS Max; I do not know if this package contains any (please reply if you discover so), but I will upload any that I come across as I begin using them.
It's not around much, though, and I thought some of you built-environment persons would appreciate it.
Burn it to disc. Run??autorun.exe (or let it run automatically, ha). Run the executable in the "krak" folder (wth administrator permissions, if necessary) and direct it towards the appropriate file.
This is submitted AS IS. No warranty, express, implied, inferred, or imagined?is made. You and only you are responsible for the security of your machine. The green/purple skull rating on thepiratebay.se doesn't mean SHIT, when you know how to monitor excessive?activity by sytem services on the LAN and trace it back to an application hook you never permitted to run (I mean that both literally and metaphorically). Educate yourselves or you will be fcked from both ends: Trees->Tech_Corp.'s, Forest->?.
Let me know about any problems and I'll do my best to help, if they're interesting.
